Gestaltung:

Ich finde das Cover ist wirklich süß. So richtig für Frauen gemacht. Welche Frau möchte denn bitte nicht bei jeder Schwierigkeit Schokolade essen? Das verwischte Türkis harmoniert sehr gut mit dem weiß und daher kommen die 4 Frauen gut zur Geltung.

Ich habe mir im Vorfeld die anderen Bücher von Carole Matthews angeschaut und ich muss sagen, dass sie ihrem Stil treu bleibt. Das finde ich für die Wiedererkennung echt wichtig.

Schade finde ich, dass es dieses Buch nur auf Englisch gibt. Zumindest habe ich es nicht gefunden. Zum Englischen Titel: Es passt einfach. Es gibt diesen Club wirklich und sie erleben echt witzige, entspannte und vor allem frauentypische Dinge.

Um ehrlich zu sein freu ich mich schon auf den nächsten Teil.

I really like the cover. It is made for women. Which woman doesn’t like to eat chocolate all the time when she has problems? The turquoise harmonizes really good with white. So the four ladies come into one’s own.

Before I read this book I saw the other books of the author on the internet and I have to say, that the author keeps to her style. I think it is really important for brand recognition.   

It is a pity, that this book is just available in English. I didn’t find a translation.

To the English title: It just fits. There is a club called “The Chocolate lovers club”. This club experience lots of funny, exciting and women typical adventures.

To be honest, I look forward to the next book.

Charaktere:

Lucy: Sie ist eine sehr nette Protagonistin. Sie hat die blöde Angewohnheit durch die Schokoladen ein wenig zu dick ist. Daher macht sie ab und zu Sport. Das hindert ihren Freund nicht daran fremd zu gehen.

Chantal: In ihrer Ehe ist sie sehr unglücklich und deswegen macht sie den Blödsinn und lässt sich auf einen One-Night-Stand ein. Dieser bleibt aber nicht ohne Folgen….

Autumn: Sie hat ein schwieriges Leben. Ihr Bruder ist Drogen abhängig. Hat auch Probleme und genau dann kommt er zu ihr. Sie weiß nicht was sie tun soll. Soll sie ihn unterstützen oder seinem Schicksal überlassen?
Eine nette Protagonistin, die mir sehr ans Herz gewachsen ist.

Nadia: Sie hat auch ein schwieriges Leben. Ihr Mann macht sie praktisch zahlungsunfähig. Er ist spielsüchtig und verbringt sehr viel Zeit mit Online-Kasinos. Zum Leidwesen von Nadia und dem 4-jährigen Sohn Lewis. Was wird sie tun?

Schön, dass sie aufeinander verlassen können.



Lucy: She is a really nice protagonist. She always thinks, that she is too thick, because she eats a lot of chocolate. But she does sport, but this isn’t a reason for her boyfriend not to start an affair with another woman.

Chantal: She is not satisfied with her marriage. So she did a mistake. She had a One-Night- Stand. But it is not without consequences.

Autumn:She has a difficult life. Her brother is addicted to drugs. When he has problems he comes to her. She doesn’t know what she should do. Should she help him or not?

Nadia: She also has a difficult life. Her husband does that they cannot pay their bills. He is addicted to playing games at casinos. The bad thing of it is, that they have a son, who is four years old. What should she do?

Meine Meinung:

Lange ist es her, dass ich dieses Buch gekauft habe. 1 Jahr um genau zu sein. Es lag dann lange auf meinem SuB aber jetzt ist es fertig.

Die Idee von einem Club aus Frauen, die 4 ganz verschiedene Dinge erleben ist echt gut. So sind ein Bruder, der drogenabhängig ist, ein Mann der seine Freundin betrügt, ein spielsüchtiger Ehemann und ein verhängnisvoller One-Night-Stand die Themen im „Chocolate Lovers Club“.

Um ehrlich zu sein, konnte ich am Anfang schwer was mit der Geschichte anfangen, doch je weiter ich kam, desto mehr gefiel mir das Buch. Ich fand es sehr interessant herauszufinden, dass mich die Gefühle echt packten.

Ich dachte, da das Buch auf Englisch ist, wird es schwerer werden die Gefühle beim Lesen zu spüren. Ich habe mich des Besseren belehren lassen und ich muss ich sagen, ich saß zum Beispiel im Zug und musste lachen oder schmunzeln. Die Gefühle haben mich echt überwältigt. Bis jetzt ist es sicher, das beste Buch, welches ich auf Englisch gelesen habe.

Die Autorin versteht es das Gleichgewicht der verschiedenen Perspektiven zu halten und doch ein wenig die Protagonistin Lucy hervorstechen zu lassen.

Ich muss aber echt sagen, dass dieser Roman wirklich ein typischer Frauenroman ist. Es wird auf jeden Fall viel Schokolade geben. Das kann ich euch versprechen.

A long time ago I bought this book. I think it is one year ago.  Since then it was a part of my SuB.

 I like the idea of 4 women who have different problems. So we have a cheating boyfriend, a brother who is addicted to drugs, a husband who is addicted to play games at a casino and a more fateful One-Night-Stand.

To be honest, I wasn’t a fan of this bookbut as I continued, I was happy with it.  It was interesting to find out, that the feelings can move me although they are written in English. I thought, that it could be difficult to read it. So I sat on the train for example and I laughed or grinned about it.

The author knows how to write books, that the different perspectives are in balance. But she wrote it, that Lucy is the protagonist.

I have to say, that that this is a typical novel for women. There is a lot of chocolate in it. I promise.

Fazit:

Ein Buch, welches mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Schade fand ich nur, dass das Buch mich am Anfang noch nicht gepackt hat.

Ich empfehle dieses Buch jeden Schokoladenliebhaber, jeden, der Frauenromane mag und jeden, der englische Literatur mag.

 Ich gebe 5 Herzen.

I really enjoyed reading it. It is a pity, that I didn’t like it at the beginning.

Anyway I can recommend this book to everyone you loves chocolates, novels for women and English books.

I give 5 hearts.
