Gestaltung:

Das Cover gefällt mir ganz gut. Es hat irgendwas Magisches an sich. Durch die Schlichtheit signalisiert das Cover mir etwas Geheimnisvolles. So war ich gespannt was mich zwischen Anfang und Ende erwartet.

Der dunkle Hintergrund mit der pinken Schrift hat auch etwas Elegantes an sich. Findet ihr nicht auch?

Zum Titel brauch ich eigentlich nichts sagen, da es eigentlich eh der gleiche ist wie im Englischen.

Der Titel passt insofern gut, da „passion“ im Deutschen „Leidenschaft“ bedeutet.

I like the cover. It has something magical on it. It is also simple and this signals mystery. So I was excited about the story inside.

I don’t have to say something about the title, because it is the same like in English. The title fits, because “passion” means “Leidenschaft” in German.

 

Charaktere:

Tessa: Sie ist Streberin durch und durch. Durch Hardin wird sie eigentlich offener und selbstbewusster. Das hab ich so schön gefunden. Sie hat sich gegen ihre Mutter gestellt und vor Hardin.

Hardin: Zuerst ist er der unausstehliche und nervige Junge aus der Clique und dann der charmante lustige junge Mann. Dieser Mann hat echt zwei Gesichter. Doch, dass macht ihn so unerreichbar und begehrenswert, wenn ich das jetzt so mal sagen darf.

Noah: Der stets korrekte Junge, der schon sehr lange der Freund von Tessa wird später gegen Hardin ausgetauscht. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass er im Buch wirklich langweilig rüber kam. Aber ich bin mir sicher, dass Tessa mit ihm schöne Jahre verbracht hat.

Molly: Sie. Sie ist einfach unsympathisch. Die junge Frau mit den pinken Haaren schmeißt sich an Hardin ran und verursacht bei Tessa Eifersuchtsgefühle. Leute, ich mag sie auch nicht, da sie so schlecht über Tessa redet.

Tessa: She loves to learn. Hardin helps her to be more open minded and self-confident. I like this. She agrees with her mother to save Hardin. I also like the discussions against her mother.

Hardin: At first he is annoying but then a very smart and polite guy. This man has two faces. But this makes him unreachable and desirable, if you allow me to say this.

Noah: He is very correct. He was Tessa’s boyfriend a very long time ago. He knows Tessa since her childhood. He is very nice but in the book he is boring. But I am sure Tessa had lots of lovely years with him.

Molly: She is unsympathetic. The girl with pink hair flirts with Hardin and causes feelings of jealousy in Tessa. Guys, I don’t like her, because she talks about Tessa very unfriendly.

Meine Meinung:

Warum habe ich dieses Buch gelesen? Ganz einfach erklärt.

Ich bin dem Hype des Buches erlegen.

Wenn ich an „After passion“ gedacht habe, habe ich es sofort in die gleiche Schublade wie „50 Shades of Grey“ gelegt. Nämlich in die Schublade „Werde ich niemals lesen“.

Doch irgendwie habe ich vor kurzen den Klapptext nochmal gelesen und ich habe es mir runtergeladen. Nun kommt noch meine Meinung dazu.

Es behandelt eigentlich das Klischee „Good girl meets bad boy“. Es stimmt, es ist genau wie das Klischee, doch da ist mehr Dramatik eingebaut.

Die Geschichte an sich finde ich sehr gelungen, da der Schwerpunkt nicht im Erotischen liegt, sondern in der Dramatik der 2 Protagonisten und der Liebe.

Ihr denkt jetzt bestimmt: „ Sie hat die Love Games Bücher gelesen, und meint dann jetzt, dass sie keine erotischen Bücher mag.“

Genau. Ich mag die Erotik in Liebesromanen aber in gewissen Portionen.

Aber ich schweife ab.

Der Schreibstil ist sehr angenehm, sodass ich das Buch eigentlich nur nachts gelesen habe. Es beschert auch angenehme Träume. :-)

Nein ehrlich ich kam wirklich gut in die Geschichte und mir war Tessa von Anfang an sympathisch. Sowie auch der angenehme und höfliche Hardin.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt für mich ist, dass es zu viele Hin und Her gegeben hat. Da wär das Buch ein wenig kürzer geworden, aber das gehört auch dazu, dass das Buch wirklich dramatisch rüber kommt. 

Why did I read this book? It is easy to explain.

 Everybody reads this book and the hype about it is amazing.

When I think of “After passion” then I compare it with “50 Shades of Grey”. I put it in the same drawer, which is called “Books which I never read”.

But 4 weeks ago I read the instruction of the book again and I downloaded it. Now this is my own opinion.

It treats the cliché “Good girl meets bad boy”. It is right, it fits more than 100 percent to it. But in this book is more dramatic art.

I think, that the story is so much better than the cliché.  The focus isn’t on the erotic part, but on the drama of the protagonists and their love.


You will think: “She read the Love Games series and now she tells that she doesn’t like erotic books.” 
Of course. I like eroticism in love stories, but in right portions.
But I digress.

The writing style is pleasant, so I read the book just at night. When you read the book at night, than you might have good dreams. :-)

Yes. I love the story and Tessa was really sympathetic all the time. But also the polite Hardin.

Just one negative point is, that there were so many to and fro. So the book would be much shorter, but I think it belongs to it, otherwise the book wouldn’t be so dramatic.

Fazit:

Nun werdet ihr schon wissen, was ich diesem tollen Buch geben werde.

Ich möchte nur noch zusammenfassen: Interessante Geschichte mit Dramatik obwohl es nach Klischee klingt. Coole Charaktere mit Identifikationsfaktor, offenes Ende.

Soll ich dann noch fortfahren?

Unbedingt lesen! Ich gebe meinen Pageturner.

But I want to sum up: interesting story with drama but it sounds like cliché. nice characters good to identify with, open end.

At all cost read it. I give my pageturner.
